To complement this feat the basement wall was also formed out of local limestone pieces to create basement walls approaching two feet in thickness. And yes, the wood framing and floor joists are the true 2” thickness. Naturally the subflooring is of sturdy tongue and groove construction. Traditional hardwood flooring is still prevalent and gleaming in the extensive living and dining areas.
All is to simply say . . . this house is structurally sound, displays quality workmanship, and represents lasting ‘value’.
True to character this one-owner proprietor has undertaken diligent care and consideration in maintaining and upgrading the house throughout the years.
